Today Olivier got to eat carrots for the first time… Let me just tell you that he’s NOT a BIG fan of them! :)
At first he was ALL into it…

Then, he started looking around, sticking his tongue out, so I was not able to give him any more…
my little innocent boy… :)

But I’ll try giving them to him more often so maybe he’ll change his mind…
Also, I’ll buy him green beans and sweet potatoes, so he can try them out… :)
Maybe they’ll be more successful! :)
On another note, Bry and I think – and we’re almost 100% sure – that Ollie started teething… His left bottom side is kind of flat and coarse, so I think his gums are opening…
That’s very exciting and worrying, because sometimes he screams so laud and the only thing we can give him is Motrin, but not too often, so most of the time he’s on his own… :(
Also he developed “DON’T WANT TO GO TO BED” thing, which is no fun! It takes him FOREVER to fall asleep and any movement (mine or Bry’s) ends up with the HUGE cry…
Oh, I LOVE TO BE A MOM! :)
just wait until he gets older and sees these pictures...He'll thank you!
ReplyDeletePrzeslicznie i marchewkowo:) Dobrze, ze kochasz byc, bo jestes wspaniala mama! Buziaczki od M&T
ReplyDeletehe looks so cute with carrots all over his face!!! I am sorry you are having trouble with teething and the bed-time thing. Just hang in there!
ReplyDeleteThank you guys... :)
ReplyDeleteJust have to mention - there are baby food grinders you can get - for when he's a bit older. You just put in whatever you are eating - and it grinds it up so he can enjoy too! Priced around $10 as I remember....Anyway - we sure enjoyed those baby food times - and before another year or so we should be beyond the big mess meals!
ReplyDeleteYou mean there is a time when the food doesn't end up all over the floor/table and kids?!! : )
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the teething! We tried anbesol for babies a few times, or they also have teething tablets at Wal-mart that seemed to work pretty well with Ellie and Kylie.
He looks so big sitting there! And, I think we have the same floor in our kitchen and bathrooms! About the bedtime thing, I read somewhere that when they go through big developmental changes or growth spurts their sleep sometimes gets messed up. So the teething, or rolling over more or things like that may be affecting him and it should get better and back to normal soon!
ReplyDeleteThe teething tablets are great and the teething gel. They have all the new bedtime bath stuff and lotion that seems to calm them down. My kids loved music to fall asleep to-something soft and nice, then they kinda get used to noises while going to sleep! Hope this helps, you're doing great!
ReplyDeleteNow, that's what I'm calling SUPPORT!!! Thank you so much for all the help and words of encouragement! :)
