That’s the page from the calendar that Bry’s mom gave me and Bry before we took off for Poland in December (with the pictures and birthdays of all family members). And as today Julie and I were looking through the dates in October, talking about Olivier and her leaving Bloomington on Friday, my mom noticed that there’s a cute little picture of the witch…
It probably wouldn’t mean anything or wouldn’t be funny at all, if the witch wasn’t on the 19th, which happened to be the day when my mom came to visit and if she didn't have the suitcase in her left hand and broomstick in the right, which can mean only one thing - she was traveling recently…

Pretty funny! :)
Also I got an e-mail from my polish friend with 3 different lullabies that are over a hundred years old and I could remember only one of them, so I asked my mom for help and we started singing and right now I can say that I can sing 2 out of 3. Tomorrow will be the practice day number 2…
It will be fun! :)

  1. That is so wonderful! and funny. I made the struesle coffee cake and it was awful...something went wrong. But then I made chicken caccitorri (julie's recipe) and it was great! Have a great day.

  2. I plead innocent! That's not a suitcase, it's her trick or treat bag! Your post did make me laugh, though! You should have your Mom sing the lullabies on a tape while she's here so you can keep them. That would be special.

  3. You should record them to a tape or DVD with you all singing to Olivier in your tummy. I love tummy things! I'm loving your blog Ola! I don't get to see you guys, like at all, and so it's fun seeing and hearing all you are up to!

  4. HA! That's really funny. And how neat about the lullabies - I always end up singing the same Primary songs over and over because that's all I can think of. I agree that it would be neat to have your mom record them.

  5. I didn't think about recording them but it's a really good idea and I'm definitely for it... Which means I'll do it, do it, do it!!! :)
